The batching hoppers are meant for metering modification additives (e.g. ARBOCEL, TOPCEL, VIATOP…) used as usability improvement in the produced asphalt mixture.
Hoppers are equipped with sight glasses, a vibrator and a seal. The lid opening during BIG-BAG filling is performed via pneumatic cylinder, while the granules are transported by a worm conveyor into the strain-gauge weighted receiver sealed by a pneumatic valve. After weighing out an adjustable batch with the required precision of 3%, the clamp carrier shall meter it evenly onto a pneumatic placer and then the batch is delivered to the cyclone separator, which is sealed by a pneumatic valve. Piping from the cyclone leads into a mixer or a worm conveyor transport of filler. Transportation piping is bound together with quick couplers and it has a branch for random check of the weighing accuracy. Exterior surfaces are coated with epoxide or polyurethane coating systems.
